Future-proofed head office

After 23 years at an industrial office site, Salud moved in 2018 to new premises: the former Maria Church, which has been transformed into a sustainable office.

Due to declining attendance, the church was forced to close and remained vacant for an extended period.

“We are very happy to hand over the building to Salud,” says the Catharina religious community.

Focus on well-being
The building is designed with people at the center. Natural daylight is maximized, views of green surroundings are prioritized, and the layout encourages movement and spontaneous interaction. This contributes to the well-being of our team.

Resource efficiency in practice
Sustainable solutions are integrated throughout the building:

• Energy: LED lighting and a heat pump system that recovers waste heat from the office
• Resources: Systematic waste separation and an office garden with native plants and flower beds
• Power generation: Since April 2023, 168 solar panels have been installed on the roof

Through these measures, we reduce our environmental footprint while preserving the building’s historical character, which remains an important part of the local community
